I want to bring my dad to Cape May Lighthouse for fathers day?
I was wondering if we are allowed to go up to the lighthouse and what not? My dad loves Portland Head Light and all the lighthouses in New England because that is where I am originally from. I am now in New Jersey and I want to bring him to Cape May Lighthouse as a surprise. I don't want to arrive and have it be a surprise that we can't even go up to it?
Yes, you can go up the lighthouse- I've done it. I think its 199 steps or something like that. There was no tour guide, we just paid and walked up ourseveles. The view from the top is awesome!! They also have a small measum you can visit along with (of course) a gift shop.
