Need help deciding on a new tattoo design/ REVISED?
My Mother passed away this past June and I have been wanting to get a tattoo that would be for my Mom. She was Irish (as am I) and loved everything Irish and Celtic. She was also a huge fan of lighthouses, although I never saw the fascination in them myself. I am having trouble trying in incorporate all those things into one tattoo. Anyway, I was thinking something like Angel wings, surrounding a cross, with maybe a shamrock in the middle of the cross. But then got discouraged when someone said that I should just get a lighthouse and foregoe all the Irish thoughts.... but whenever I see shamrocks or Claddah's, or the Irish blessing things, I always think of my Mom. But then again, she loves lighthouses so much, we went to every lighthouse on the Eastern coast, and a couple others that I don't remember where, I just don't see myself forever inked with a lighthouse......HELP!!!!! please
i was hoping someone might be able to offer some suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help
Why dont you get the cross/ shamrock you want and get the words "mo shólás" with it. It means "my light". Parents are sort like lighthouses for us they guide our way and keep us out of harlm so in that sense they are our lights.
