What does Pharoses mean?

What does Pharoses mean? (2000 BC was the time of the Pharoses who themselves, offered saffron up as a sacrifice to their gods.)
I searched for it but only find:
Pharos (fâr`ŏs), peninsula, extending into the Mediterranean Sea, N Egypt, NE Africa, forming two harbors at Alexandria. Originally an island, it was joined to the mainland by a mole, constructed by order of Alexander the Great. On Pharos stood the celebrated lighthouse completed (c.280 B.C.) by Ptolemy II, which is usually included among the ancient Seven Wonders of the World.
which doesn't seem suitable for this sentence,
help?!

Do you mean "Pharaohs" who ruled Egypt?

Abroath Smokies and Kippers

Arbroath is a former royal burgh and the largest town in the council area of Angus in Scotland, and has a population of approximately 23,000 people. It lies on the North Sea coast. The town's original name was Aberbrothock.

Arbroath is an ancient port with origins dating back to Pictish times and lies to the north of the Firth of Tay. It also became a popular seaside holiday resort with it unspoilt beach. There are rock pools at the beach. It has a long-established reputation as a holiday resort, with fine sands, leisure facilities and the annual Sea Fest a three-day celebration.

The town's Signal Tower Museum was built in 1813, as the shore station for the Bell Rock lighthouse. It was erected by Robert Stevenson in the years up to 1811 to warn mariners of notorious rocks 12 miles south east of Arbroath. This was the first time anyone had ever built a lighthouse on a rock that was submerged every high tide and the construction of the 115ft high structure marked the pinnacle of the lighthouse building achievements. A lighthouse until 1955 which provided a home to its keepers and their families. You can step back in time, see, hear and even smell the history and culture of this ancient town.

Arbroath's harbour and its abbey are connected by a largely pedestrians High Street which with the surrounding town centre offers the full range of shops and civic buildings you would expect from some where with a history quite so long and prestigious.

It is still a working port, the harbour remains an attractive focal point for the town. Arbroath's pretty harbour is the main attraction, with a history of fishing.

Fishing has remained an important industry and Arbroath is particularly associated with kippers and Abroath Smokies which are whole haddock smoked over oak chips.

Keer's Miniature Railway in Abroath is a favourite sea side attraction. The line runs a quarter of a mile along the sea front. This miniature railway in Arbroath town is Scotland's oldest, and a bit of a tradition in the town which has been operating since 1935.

The town is dominated by Arbroath Abbey. The was founded in 1178 by King William the Lion. The distinctive red sandstone ruins still stands in Abroath. It was in this Abbey that the Declaration of Arbroath was signed in 1320 and witnessed by Robert the Bruce after the Battle of Bannockburn .
