Places Of Interest In Spain – Cadaques
Perhaps Spain can be called the home town of Mother Nature and the birth place of great works of art and architecture. Every place one visits in this country again and again drives home this point. Whatever place a tourist visits
in Spain is renowned for its beauty, a unique history behind the place and many places of worship like chapels and churches, and places of learning like museums, etc. This is true of Cadaques, which is a province of Gerona. This
small town is separated from the rest of the country by the great mountains Puig Bufadors and Pani Puig. In fact this isolation has become a blessing to Cadaque for the simple reason that many tourists prefer this isolated
picturesque land locked in the midst of mountains and overlooking the great Mediterranean Sea. Many tourists are fascinated by this great town.

Casa Museo Salvador Dali:
This great museum inaugurated in 1997 contains the works of renowned artist Salvador Dali. Some of his great paintings are on display in this museum. The landscape around the museum is just marvellous. There is a swimming
pool which adds glitter to the landscape. The museum has a reading room, library, garden, workshop, etc. It is certainly an ideal place for art lovers and also for those who have a fascination for landscaping.
Santa Maria Church:
This exquisite church is located in the old town. This 17th century church is built in the center of the city. The charming roads leading to the church adds to the splendor of the church. It is of Gothic architecture with an octagonal
top. This imposing building is something that should never be missed by any tourist.
Music festival:
Every year a music festival is held in Cadaque. A large group of musicians, conductors, soloists, composers, and music lovers congregate during this festival. Perhaps the people of Cadaque love music much more than any other
form of art, that's why several bands or orchestras hold free concerts, even in the churches.
National park:
This large park covers about 11,000 hectares of land and attracts several visitors every year. Many of the rarest species of trees are found here.
Beach:
There is a lighthouse in this beach. It also has many coves and very small islands. It also has flora and fauna of the rarest varieties. Some famous Hollywood movies have been shot on location on the beaches of Cadaques. This
serves to attest to the fact that Cadaques is a favorite of the tourists.
