I can answer your third question- funny because we are reading the same book and are on the same chapter(actually we just finished stave 2).
The celebrations at the peoples houses changed Scrooge's attitude because it made Scrooge realize that even people who aren't as wealthy as him can still have a great Christmas. It also showed Scrooge to be happier and to not worry about his job so much.

Where to Stay? Unique Accommodation!
When you normally sit down to plan your holiday, do you ever wonder what else is available for accommodation? Canada: Stay in a spherical tree house in Qualicum, British Columbia. Experience the west coast rainforest of Vancouver Island and overnight in a 9’ diameter sphere made of yellow cedar and are perched high amongst the trees. Check out www.freespiritspheres.com.

Italy: Travelling with a few friends? One house just not quite enough? Why not hire a small village? Seriously! This unique village is open from Christmas day to the beginning of April each year, where you can enjoy fantastic skiing during the day, enjoy the magnificent and unique ice sculptures in the village then spend a night or two in an authentic, yet cosy igloo.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg. This time round, have a good search around before booking your next holiday, and see if there’s something just a little bit different that takes your fancy.
