Can anyone help me find a favourite childhood book from about 20 years ago?
I'm trying to both remember and find a favourite series of children's books from around twenty years ago. Some of the details may be wrong due to the passing of time, but these are the details that I can remember:
1) The books were square in shape and in bright primary colours. In particular I remember one was red and one was yellow.
2) The covers featured a small square black and white line illustration in the centre.
3) These line illustrations were used throughout. They were quite intricate.
4) The main character was a cat. He wasn't a talking cat, just a regular inquisitive cat.
5) The cat either lived in or nearby a castle/tower/lighthouse.
6) Each book revolved around the castle/tower/lighthouse either teleporting or moving through time, taking the cat with it.
7) This event may have occurred when a clock struck a particular time.
If anyone can help, I'd be eternally grateful!
