Attractions in Falmouth
Falmouth has a range of activities available to suit all age and tastes, it's proximity to the coast means that there is a large number of water based activities. As well as this,Falmouth is central to many other Cornwall attractions.
1) Pendennis Castle
Pendennis Castle was built by Henry VIII as part of his coastal defenses against the threat of a French attack. It stands on a headland at the mouth of the River Fal, facing St. Mawes Castle across the water.
2) National Maritime Museum Cornwall
Features diverse collection of approximately 140 small craft from Great Britain and overseas, and spans the past 150 years.
3) Budock Vean Golf Course

Beaches in Falmouth
1) Gyllyngvase Beach
Falmouth's main beach, it extends alongside Cliff Road, providing a crescent shaped white sandy stretch, ideal for family bathing and water sports. Gyllyngvase is a Blue Flag beach. Sand chair available for hire from the Beach Café for disabled beach access.
2) Swan pool
Take a short walk along the cliff path from Gyllyngvase, to discover
Swanpool Beach offering a large variety of water-based activities and a children's play area. Opposite is Swanpool Nature Reserve for those who want to discover tranquility and the local wildlife. Leaflets are available in the cafe on the beach or from the Tourist Information Centre.
3) Maenporth
A wide sandy beach, two miles south west of Falmouth, in a peaceful setting with views of Falmouth, Pendennis Castle and St Anthony Lighthouse on the Roseland Peninsula.

1) Glendurgan
Glendurgan is a valley garden of great beauty created in the 1820s and developed over many years by the Fox family.
2) Trebah Garden
Trebah Garden is 25 acre sub-tropical ravine garden, falling 200 feet from the 18th century house to a private beach on the Helford River. A stream cascades over waterfalls through ponds full of Koi Carp, and exotic water plants wind through 2-acres of blue and white hydrangeas that spill out over the beach.
