I was in a bad relationship once and felt incapable of making the right decisions, one morning I woke up, played a bit of lighthouse family and knew I was out of there (actually it was my house, he was out of there), all I had to do was get rid. I was calm, sure, strong and content, nothing he did or said could ever get to me again? He sensed it and grovled, too late. After all the turmoil, just one moment changed it, like a light going on? Have you had that 1 pure moment fo clarity?
yes & it's wonderful. you've battled with something for such a long time, then, suddenly, you feel at peace within yourself. you "know" you've done/are doing the right thing, everything now makes sense & you've got the strength, confidence & self-assurance to see it through. it happened to me last year & i finally left an abusive, violent husband. everything seemed to just fall into place: like it was meant to be. i'm a Christian, so, for me, it was seeing God's hand at work, but you don't need to be religious for it to happen. well done you for carrying it through. diane.
