To Kill a Mockingbird chatacter symbols?
What are some symbols (not found in the book) that could represent main characters in the book? Like Atticus would be a lighthouse because he is the town's hope and reference point for moral behavior. Specifically maybe things that go alone with character traits and major events. Like:
Bob Ewell (ignorant, in poverty, prejudiced)
Miss Maudie (loves to be outdoors, befriends children)
Dill ("passed around" a lot, tells tall tales, childhood innocence)
Scout (tomboy, intelligent, basic faith in people, innocent)
Mrs. Dubose (ill tempered, battles morphine addiction with courage)
Mayella (no real friends, doesn't seem to completely belong to the Ewell family)
Nathan Radley (protective of Boo, yet slightly detrimental)
