Are you annoyed that they call the characters vampires, when vampires dont sparkle, they have huge teeth, no other vampire enemies but are chased by a guy called Van Helsing?

I really didn't like the first one (I couldn't get into the others) because I feel like it was poorly written. I hated that she turned vampires into vegan disco balls but I could have forgiven that if she had written it in a convincing way.
The vampire legend has gone through millions of changes over the centuries. Bram Stoker changed the vampire myth loads. But he did it in such a way that you were too wrapped up in an amazing story you didn't care.
Stephenie Meyer didn't do that.
She wrote a story basically for the teenage girl living inside of her that was slightly based on Romeo and Juliet. What I hate most about the series and subsequent movies is that it lowers the standards we have for what's good literature. It doesn't challenge anyone and it doesn't require too much of a thought process. It's a shame that these kids are lapping this crap up.
And I love your title "Edward Cullen Is Better of Working as a Lighthouse than a Vampire". LOL, spot on.
