What can I do to make my bathroom look better?

So I'm 14 and I have my own bathroom. There is a small section where the toilet and bathroom is and has just a combined white (No tile) shower/tub combined area. There is linoleum tile that is like tan/yellow/brown in color and has white/light tan walls. (Moderately Similar to this one in style: http://www.themillwoodgroup.com/419quintana/000_0962s.jpg) Once your exit that part through a wood sliding door there is a wide/open carpeted area with the same wall color. There is a large area with Marble counter-tops and 2 sinks. There are 2 large sliding wood doors to the south with the sinks to the west. There is a closet to the east and the 2 doors to the sauna and other part of the bathroom to the north. So far all I have is a Lighthouse themed shower-curtain, trash can, cups, and toothbrush holders with Ralph Lauren towers. What are cheap but nice ways to improve it and make it better?

As odd as it may sound, even pictures of elephants can add to your bathroom experience. Cows, particularly Holstein cows, are popular photos as well. And as far as bathroom humor goes…isn’t a lion, the king of beasts, best portrayed sitting on a “throne”?

One great way to introduce an exotic and yet still appropriate theme into your bathroom is by the use of travel photography. If you have to fill an unusually wide space on your wall, a panorama photograph of ancient Cambodian temple ruins of Angkor Wat might be just the answer. Even an oasis in the Gobi desert can make for an enhancing and exotic addition to the look and feel of your bathroom.

 

Triptychs and Wall Decor

Triptychs are a great way to incorporate art into bathroom wall décor. There is something inherently aesthetically pleasing about an arrangement of three artistic elements. In addition, three related photographs can tell a story more completely than a single picture.
