Quotes About Lighthouses
quotes About Lighthouses
I need to know about this quote from Woolf's To the Lighthouse, and where to find it in the book.?
It was something along the lines of "Nobody ever likes Shakespeare as much as they say they do." But I can't find it in the book, and my father and I have gotten into quite a tiff about it, because I swear its in To the Lighthouse, but my dad isn't sure it is and says its in the Voyage Out, but I'm positive its not.
Anyways, I'm much obliged to anyone who can clear this up for us!
Thanks,
-Valencia
From The Voyage Out, page 313, Oxford paperback:
'Shakespeare? I hate Shakespeare!' Mrs Flushing exclaimed; and Wilfred returned admiringly, 'I believe you're the only person who dares to say that, Alice'.
