Are dogs allowed on Daytona Beach?

Going to Daytona tomorrow for an event with my sorority and I would love to bring my puppy with me. Are they allowed on Daytona's Beach? I do know there's a beach in Ponce Inlet (Lighthouse Point Park) but that's like 20 mins away. He's up to date on shots, 15 weeks old, will be on the leash and LOVES the sand! Does anyone know if I can bring him?
